living within driving distance of new york city has been the most fun. the most fun! it’s the best to be able to zip up to the city to photograph and film manhattan weddings and new york city engagement sessions. but really, like we actually need an excuse to stop by our favorite spots to take in the views and nosh on our favorite meals!
when our bff from san francisco, kirsten of knw photography, came to visit, we naturally had to do some beautiful shoots, so we head to the city for this beautiful new york city elopement shoot. to tell the story, we photographed in two of the most iconic places in new york: the brooklyn bridge and central park!
shelby and chase talked about how they always wanted a city elopement but ended up marrying locally so their families could be present. because of this, they were perfect for this shoot!Ā these two are the kindest and most stylish couple and were so wonderful to photograph! they were ever patient with all of the tourists on the bridge asking to snap photos of them, and they have perfect chemistry.
i loved the ethereal bhldn dress and cathedral-length veil. when the wind caught the veil, it was absolutely dreamy! shelby looked perfect with her relaxed bridal braid and natural makeup, and chase was her perfect compliment in his well-tailored suit.
the bhldn and susie saltzman bling looked amazing, and the garden-inspired bouquet by bahtoh added a slight touch of whimsy. in true new york fashion, we brought a bit of quirkiness to the shoot with fun “we did it!” elopement announcements by kara hill and a unique getting ready hotel.
we are thrilled to see the shoot featured onĀ wedding chicks. if you think there’s anything more romantic than exchanging vows at bethesda fountain in central park, take a look at these photos, and we might just prove you wrong!
